Service Description

This workshop will teach you how to make a simple Japanese woodcut print from two blocks of wood. You will learn cutting, registration and inking techniques and print onto Japanese washi. Week 1. simple one colour block print to understand cutting, inking and registration techniques. Start design process for creation of own three block print Week 2. separating the colours and transferring the design to woodblocks, cutting Kento marks for registraion. Cutting the blocks Week 3 , cutting the blocks / colour mixing and testing Week 4. printing the blocks All materials are included.
