Service Description

This four week introductory course will give you the skills to etch aluminium plates using a simple salt water method. Learn how to prepare the plates, design your image, create tones using an aquatint alternative method, etch and print using our studio etching presses. No particular art skills are required, traced or found images can be used as image ideas, this process is suitable for all abilities and experience. Course fee includes one small etching plate and one larger plate. Additional plates can be purchased on request.
