Beginners linocut evening class

Service Description

Learn linocut in a friendly studio where experienced printmakers work alongside complete beginners, share ideas and creative inspiration. This four week course will introduce cutting techniques, inking and printing using our studio print press as well as hand burnishing prints. You will be taught how to design a successful single colour print and also a simple reduction print whereby the same piece of lino is cut and printed several times in different colours to produce a composite image. There is no need for any drawing skills or previous art experience, found images can be used as a starting point.
