Ladder Street in Central is one of several pedestrian stepped streets connecting Mid Levels and Central. Shaded by large Banyan trees these quiet streets are a world away from the busy roads where buses taxis and delivery vans compete for space.

This is a hand engraved wood engraving. Carved from a piece of slow growing Box wood end grain. The wood is finely sanded to provide a very hard smooth surface for the image to be drawn on and carved from. The image is then hand printed on very thin Japanese Washi paper in order to capture the small detail.
